The Marshall County Extension Office offers a variety of services to assist the community with Horticulture related topics. We educate homeowners on how to maintain their lawns, landscapes, and gardens and help commercial producers with their farmering opperations. Some of our most commonly used services include: soil testing, plant, weed and insect identifiaction, and control recommendations.

Nikki Bell

Nikki Bell, Agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources

Nikki grew up in Belleville, IL on a small pecan tree farm. After high school Nikki moved on to play collage softball while completing her Associates degree of Ag. Business from Rend Lake College. She then continued her education at Murray state majoring in Agronomy (Agriculture Plant and Soil Science.) After graduating with her Bachelors of Agronomy, Hutson John Deere hired Nikki as a Sales Agronomist where she spent 2 years helping grain farmers with their opperations. Today, Nikki gets to spend her time doing what she loves best, helping and educating the community by serving Marshall County as the County Extension Agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources. Nikki’s door is always open and she encourages the community to come visit.
