The Marshall County Extension Office offers a variety of services to assist the community with horticulture related topics. The Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) Agent educates homeowners on how to maintain their lawns, landscapes, and gardens and helps commercial producers with their farmering opperations. Some of the most commonly used ANR services for gardeners include: soil testing, plant/weed/insect identifiaction, 
and pest control recommendations.

Nikki Bell

Nikki Bell, Agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources

Nikki grew up in Belleville, IL on a small pecan tree farm. After high school Nikki moved on to play collage softball while completing her Associates degree of Ag. Business at Rend Lake College. She then continued her education at Murray state majoring in Agronomy (Agriculture Plant and Soil Science.) There she served as the Agronomy Club President, participated in Block and Bridal Club and was an Agriculture Ambassedor. After graduating with her Bachelors of Agronomy, Hutson John Deere hired Nikki as a Sales Agronomist. She spent two years there, helping farmers make agronomic decisions. In April of 2014, Nikki accepted the positon of Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent for Marshall County and in 2017 she completed her Master of Science Degree in Agriculture from Murray State. Now Nikki gets to spend her time doing what she loves best, helping and educating the community. Nikki’s door is always open and she encourages the community to come visit and questions!
